Have you installed MetaMask?
MetaMask is a browser extension and for this reason, you should install it on your browser. MetaMask supports Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Brave browser.
You can easily download the browser extension by connecting to https://metamask.io/download.html.
Once you have installed the extension you have to create a new wallet or import an existing one.
Add the Binance Smart Chain
Once you have MetaMask correctly installed on your browser, click on the fox on the right top of your browser to open the MetaMask window.
To manually connect the Binance Smart Chain you have to:
- click on the account image
- click on “Settings”
- click on “Networks”
By default, you have the Ethereum Mainnet and other test networks, but not the Binance Smart Chain.
For this reason, if you want to connect MetaMask to the Binance Smart Chain, you have to click on the “Add Network” button.
Now you have to fill all the fields to connect MetaMask to the Binance Smart Chain:
- Network Name: BSC or Binance Smart Chain (or whatever you want)
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binace.org/
- Chain ID: 56
- Currency Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer: https://bscscan.com
Finally, you have to click on the “Save” button.
Once done, you have correctly connected MetaMask to the Binance Smart Chain.
How to switch the network?
Switching the network is pretty easy.
You have just to click on the current network button, then on the network on which you want to connect.
